Even a site dedicated to POTVIN SUCKS has to give credit where credit is due. As captain, Denis Potvin led the New York Islanders to four consecutive Stanley Cups. And lets face it, if he were some random, mediocre hockey player from a team that wasn't a local rival, the longtime Ranger fan hatred would have fizzled long ago.
So it seems ironic that Ranger fans can almost be thankful to Denis Potvin for giving them a unifying tradition.
